5 THINGS I WILL USE IN TEACHING
1.Homework
I'm a Senior now and If I don't study or practice, I fail. I grew up playing sports, and like they always say, practice makes perfect.
2.Podcast
I really fell in love with the podcast ideas. You can use them in so many different ways. The teachers can use them almost as a backup. If you need to study for a test on chapters 3-5, well just pull the podcast's that discuss these lessons.
3. Blogging
If done in the right way, I think blogging can be a great tool. I would use it with a little bit more wiggle room. I would be more free with it. Really allowing the students to post about whatever comes to mind, making it fun.
4. Groups
Being in a group and working together is so important. It puts the student on level ground, and equal players. When your working together its not as competitive and you don't feel as helpless when you have a big project due. It also helps diversify the students, and perfect many life skills, they can take with them.
4. Reading
I know we are moving forward, and using computers to excel ourselves. However there are some things you just cant get without reading them for yourself. I think its important to have the students read a good ol' fashioned book, instead of "googling" something.
